How you'll learn
We’ve designed all our career-focused courses for you to study completely online.
Cambridge Education Group (CEG) has been delivering the highest quality courses to thousands of students across the globe for over 60 years. As part of our latest digital initiative, we are offering degree programmes validated by London South Bank University (LSBU).
Why learn with us?
"I try to make a little time to study every day, fitting it in around my schedule for work and taking the remaining time to socialise with friends."
Your virtual classroom
You can access everything you need to complete your studies anytime, anywhere, by using Canvas, our virtual learning environment.
The platform uses a combination of video, podcasts, and online presentations, with links to further resources and materials you can download.
Access your course using your browser, or through the Canvas Student mobile app – so you can learn while you’re on the move.
Watch our video overview to find out more. If you would like to arrange a personal Canvas demo with a course adviser, give the team a call on +44 (0) 20 7815 7500.
While studying with us, you'll find everything you need for your course within our digital learning environment Canvas.
The dashboard is the front page. This is where you'll see a handy overview of your program, along with any other important information as an online learner.
Your course material can be accessed from anywhere at any time. All you need is a laptop or smartphone and an internet connection. Your learning resources can include research papers, podcast textbooks, and much more. In fact, all assessments are submitted online as well.
Every week, your tutor will post a new topic for you to discuss with your fellow students. This is a fantastic opportunity to engage with your classmates, learn from different perspectives, and further your understanding of the work that was covered. You can also look forward to joining in on regular webinars. You'll be able to catch up with your academics and talk about the week's content, as well as take part in conversations with the rest of your class. All webinars are recorded so you can watch them whenever you like if you can't attend them live.
You don't have to worry about going on this journey alone, either. Throughout the course, you'll have the support of our online tutors and student advisor team. You can turn to your tutors with questions about your coursework, while our student advisors will be happy to help you adjust to online learning and answer your practical questions with Canvas. You will be well equipped to make the most of your course and enjoy your time as a student.
Courses made with you in mind
We’ve designed all our career-focused courses for you to study completely online. That means you’ll have the flexibility you need to schedule your education around the rest of your commitments.
Plus, once you graduate your degree certificate will be identical to those received by on-campus students; there’ll be no mention of the remote learning aspect of the course.
What could your typical week look like?
Each week will usually include four components:
-
a topic, to help you grow your knowledge
-
learning activities, so you can apply your knowledge to challenges
-
a webinar, so you can discuss the topic with your tutor and other students
-
discussions, so you can share your ideas with other students
Your study plan
Let’s look at each of these elements in more detail:
Your weekly topic will introduce you to a new subject in depth, and could be a book, podcast, article, presentation or lecture.
Your learning activities will help you apply everything you’ve learned about your topic, by doing things like answering questions, reviewing reports, or analysing case studies.
Your weekly webinar will give you the chance to discuss the topic with tutors and other students. Don’t worry if you can’t make them - we’ll record it so you can watch it at a convenient time for you.
Your discussion forums will then help you explore what you’ve learned, through individual and group activities and class discussions.
